Cars.com, one of the leading independent consumer auto shopping sites, has recognized the new Infiniti G as winner of several "Best Bet" awards for 2009. The G37 Sedan and all-wheel drive G37x Sedan have both been named "Best Bets for Luxury Vehicles," while the G37 Coupe has also been selected as a "Best Bet for Sports Cars."
To qualify as a Cars.com Best Bet, vehicles must meet three quantified criteria: a Good rating in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) frontal and side-impact crash tests, average or higher reliability ratings, and average or higher fuel economy within their class. In the Cars.com review of the G37, the editors commented: "The G37 lineup is a compelling alternative to the BMWs and Mercedes of the world."
