Gasgoo Munich- On March 26, Gasgoo, in partnership with the BAIC Motor Technical Center and the Beijing Society of Automotive Engineers, will host top-tier suppliers specializing in AI and multimodal perception at BAIC's research hub. The event aims to facilitate up-close technical demonstrations and in-depth exchanges with the engineering team. It is a clear reflection of BAIC Group's ongoing strategic push to integrate intelligent and new-energy development.
BAIC Group stands as one of pillars of the Chinese automotive industry. Founded in 1958, the conglomerate has spent over six decades evolving into a massive enterprise with a supply chain spanning vehicle and parts R&D, manufacturing, automotive trade, mobility services, and financial investment.
Looking back, BAIC has notched multiple milestones: producing Beijing's first car, the "Jinggangshan" sedan; launching the BJ212, the first light off-roader brand of New China; and rolling out the first-generation BJ130 light truck. It also established Beijing Jeep Corporation, the auto industry's first manufacturing joint venture. After China joined the WTO, BAIC moved quickly to set up Beijing Hyundai and Beijing Benz — a model of deepened Sino-German strategic cooperation. From its independent roots to the joint-venture era, BAIC has never stopped moving.
Standing at a critical juncture of industrial transformation, BAIC has recently sharpened its brand strategy. It has rolled out the BEIJING brand, launched the KAWAN new-energy commercial vehicle line, and partnered with Huawei to build the high-end Stelato brand. Together, these moves form a diverse portfolio spanning passenger and commercial vehicles across both mass and premium markets.

At the same time, BAIC is digging deep into core technologies. On the intelligent front, it has released the "BAIC Yuanjing" smart connected tech system, while its premium Arcfox brand secured MIIT approval for autonomous vehicle models. In new energy, the group has made solid progress in industrializing power batteries, electric drive systems, smart cockpits, off-road tech, and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles.
To accelerate high-quality growth and deepen its transformation, BAIC launched the "Three-Year Leap Plan." The first phase, running from 2025 to 2027, sets a clear target: sales of over 3 million vehicles and cracking the industry's top six.
In 2026, BAIC enters the critical breakthrough phase of its three-year plan. On the intelligent front, the company is focusing on iterating high-level driver-assistance systems and deepening the integration of smart cockpits with the entire vehicle, aiming to deliver a full-scenario smart mobility experience. On the new-energy side, BAIC continues to refine its electric powertrain technology and broaden collaboration with upstream and downstream leaders. It is building an ecosystem based on "co-creation, co-existence, and value sharing" to empower the high-quality development of its supply chain across the full lifecycle.
Driven by this industry consensus and development needs, Gasgoo will set up a dedicated technology display zone on March 26. This platform will connect BAIC's R&D team with top-tier suppliers, ensuring a precise match between technical resources and industrial needs — and exploring new possibilities for deploying innovative automotive technologies.
