Edited by Betty From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- On October 20, the "SAIC Intelligent Chassis Innovation Technology Exhibition," themed "Wire-Controlled Chassis, Smart Driving Experience," successfully concluded at the SAIC Passenger Vehicle R&D Base on Anyan Road in Jiading, Shanghai. Jointly hosted by SAIC Motor, the Society of Automotive Engineers of Shanghai, Futeng Capital, Shanghai International Proving Ground, Tongji University's College of Automotive Studies, and *Shanghai Auto*, and organized by Gasgoo, the event adopted a combined format of "executive tours, keynote speeches, technical displays, and one-on-one matchmaking." It brought together R&D and procurement teams from OEMs, industry experts, and 16 premium suppliers to exchange insights on the innovation, trends, standards, and practical application of intelligent chassis and wire-control technologies.

Executive Tours and Opening Remarks: Charting a Course for Collaboration

The morning session kicked off with an executive tour, where guests got a firsthand look at cutting-edge technologies and innovations from exhibitors. Representatives walked attendees through their solutions and value propositions, engaging in deep, face-to-face exchanges. This direct interaction offered a clear view of the industry's frontier achievements, setting the stage for subsequent technical discussions and industrial collaboration.

During the opening remarks, Li Jiangang, deputy general manager of SAIC's Quality and Technical Department, and Zhou Yuxing, senior director of the Vehicle Motion Center at SAIC's Innovation Research and Development General Institute, joined Gu Xiaoying, partner and executive vice president of Gasgoo, to address the audience. Against the backdrop of deepening automotive intelligence, they highlighted the strategic importance of the intelligent chassis as the core of vehicle motion control and the execution base for high-level autonomous driving. They also expressed a strong willingness to open up to high-quality supply chain resources, aiming to drive the independent upgrade of wire-control chassis through collaborative innovation.

Keynote Sessions: A Full-Chain Review Spanning Planning, Experience, and Standards

The morning's keynote sessions brought together frontline perspectives from OEMs, universities, testing agencies, and suppliers, forming a complete discussion chain: "strategy — experience — trends — standards — solutions."

Dr. Zhang Chengbao, chief engineer at the Vehicle Motion Center of SAIC's Innovation Research and Development General Institute, presented "Innovation Practice and Development Planning of Intelligent Chassis." He systematically outlined SAIC's technical foundation, practical path, and mid-to-long-term roadmap in the intelligent chassis sector.

Wang Weiqi, a senior expert in vehicle motion control, delivered a talk on "Innovation in Intelligent Chassis User Experience at IM Motors." Starting from actual product implementation, he shared insights on how intelligent chassis technology translates into tangible driving and riding experiences.

Professor Meng from Tongji University's School of Automotive and Energy Engineering discussed "New Technology Trends and Business Practices in Intelligent Chassis," offering a forecast of technological evolution from the intersection of academia and industry.

Xu Lin, a senior engineer and head of the Chassis Performance Group at the Shanghai Motor Inspection Institute's Vehicle and Parts Testing Laboratory, focused on "Intelligent Chassis Standards and Market Access," outlining key requirements for chassis performance testing and regulatory compliance.

Jin Jundong, general manager of GLOBAL's Sales Center, unveiled "GLOBAL's Wire-Control Chassis Solution for High-Level Autonomous Driving," showcasing the company's technical roadmap for wire-control systems tailored to advanced autonomous driving.

Shang Lixiang, automotive sales manager at Jaka Robotics, presented "Jaka Robotics Applications in the Automotive Industry," exploring the value of flexible robots within automotive manufacturing scenarios.

Spanning top-level planning and on-the-ground experience, the six sessions covered trend analysis, user experience, regulatory compliance, and cutting-edge solutions—offering the audience a multi-dimensional reference point.

Technology Showcase: 16 Exhibitors Cover Key Links in the Chassis Supply Chain

Inside the exhibition hall, 16 premium suppliers showcased technologies targeting critical links in the intelligent chassis supply chain. Exhibitors included GLOBAL, OnTron, Jaka Robotics, IPRO, Datwyler, SESO, TOSUN, ZLG (Guangzhou Zhiyuan Electronics), NOVATECH, LK Group, Hkaco (HongKe) , Böllhoff, Milliohm Electronics, ETEST (Changsha Rongce Electronics), Ruipingxian Technology, and FST (Sihui Fushi Electronics). Their exhibits spanned sealing and film materials, precision fasteners, wire-control chassis, electronic components and testing, and automated flexible manufacturing—precisely aligning with OEMs' technical upgrade needs.

From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the event hosted one-on-one technical exchanges. Participating companies engaged in targeted, in-depth discussions with relevant SAIC teams, meeting directly with key decision-makers. They verified solution fit against specific needs and explored potential cooperation, effectively shortening the path from initial technical contact to project implementation and driving efficient coupling between quality supply and OEM demand.

From macro-level strategic planning to product-level user experience, and from regulatory compliance to pragmatic matchmaking, the exhibition built a platform for collaboration among OEMs, universities, testing agencies, and suppliers. As high-level autonomous driving demands greater response speed, control precision, and system integration from the chassis, wire-control technology is emerging as a critical battleground in the race for automotive intelligence.

With technology as the bond and demand as the guide, the event not only opened a channel for exhibitors to enter the OEM supply chain system but also gathered industrial wisdom for SAIC's continuous innovation in intelligent chassis. It pushed the upstream and downstream of the supply chain toward collaborative victory under the shared goal of "smart driving enjoyment."
