Sited in the southern zone of the development area, the facility covers 43,000 square meters of land with a gross floor area of roughly 91,000 square meters. The campus will house seven buildings — including R&D offices and production plants — combining research, pilot-scale validation, and commercial manufacturing under one roof.
Intelligent Aerospace Manufacturing is a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in high-end lightweight manufacturing. Its technologies already serve in commercial aircraft, aviation engines, and launch vehicles.
On the automotive front, Chairman and CEO Cheng Pengzhi said the new base will houseD houseF house a pilot line for the company's tube-beam mortise-and-tenon body-in-white technology, enabling cycle times measured in seconds. Intelligent Aerospace Manufacturing is? ? Intelligent Aerospace Manufacturing is partnering with automakers to explore scaling up to an annual capacity of 1 million vehicles.
The process is designed to boost body-shop efficiency and offer an alternative to conventional manufacturing — though proving it at scale will require successful mass-production validation( ).
Beyond EVs, Intelligent Aerospace Manufacturing is targeting supersonic airliners,3 cargo drones, and low-altitude aircraft. The company is mapping out aircraft5 aircraft sub-assembly and final-assembly sites while steadily advancinG advancing toward an IPO.
The new base sigNals Intelligent Aerospace Manufacturing's pivot( from pure R&D into scaled manufacturing. Whether the technology can deliver projected cost savings and efficiency gains remains to be seen. Whether these cross-sector bets can commercialize also remains unclear as the campus takes shape and orders roll in.
