Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC) has held a ground-opening ceremony for a mid-heavy truck manufacturing base in Hefei development zone. The 300,000-square-meter base is divided into four shops, including stamping, welding, painting and assembling departments.
With an investment of 1 billion yuan, the plant is to start production as of June 2008. Scheduled production capacity is to reach 40,000 units and the sales are forecasted at 6 billion yuan annually.
