Jilin Province has officially launched the New Energy Vehicles Industry Federation to integrate the new energy auto resources, sources reported.
The association encompasses 23 scientific and research institutions and producers, including China FAW Group Corp, Jilin University, Changchun Liyuan New Energy Science Co Ltd and QiMing Information Technology Co Ltd. It represents Jilin’s top level of research and development of new energy automobiles.
In the association, FAW will be responsible for the R&D, testing, trial-manufacturing and improvement of finished automobiles as well as for organizing product demonstrations. Meanwhile, Jilin University will be in charge of setting up an R&D platform for power systems and for providing a test analysis platform and assessment system for the new energy automobiles.
Reportedly, one main responsibility of the association is to strengthen the R&D of the key components. It will also strengthen communication with the government and promote the demonstration of the new energy automobiles.
