Under the agreement, the partners will leverage complementary strengths and shared resources to drive solid-state batteries from material innovation to large-scale commercialization. Frontier applications such as humanoid robots, specialized operation robots, and intelligent transport equipment will serve as pilot scenarios as they jointly build globally competitive products.
Solid-state batteries are emerging as a pivotal technology for transforming the intelligent terminal industry, according to Zhang Mingxuan, vice president and dean of Jingwei Hirain’s Central Research Institute. He noted that SEVCPOWER boasts end-to-end capabilities—spanning basic research to engineering conversion—in solid electrolyte materials and solid-state batteries. Jingwei Hirain, for its part, will tap its strengths in system integration, electronic and electrical architecture, and a global service network to drive solid-state energy from technological breakthroughs to mass adoption.
Zhu Gaolong, chairman and general manager of SEVCPOWER, highlighted Jingwei Hirain’s two decades of expertise in automotive electronics and intelligent transport. The partnership, he said, will fuse SEVCPOWER’s technological depth with Jingwei Hirain’s industrialization capabilities to define the energy solutions for the next generation of intelligent terminals.
