Gasgoo Munich- Jinzhou Jinheng Automotive Safety System Co., Ltd. has officially established a Wuhan R&D center within the Wuhan Smart Automotive Software Park in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, according to the "Wuhan ETDZ" WeChat account. As a leading supplier in China's automotive passive safety sector, Jinheng is positioning its R&D capabilities closer to the heart of Central China's vehicle manufacturing hub — a move designed to shorten response times for local automakers and streamline collaboration.

The center is slated to serve two primary functions. First, it will provide on-the-ground technical development and support for automakers and production bases across Central China. Second, leveraging Wuhan's university resources and automotive ecosystem, it will act as a talent pipeline for the group's future global expansion, training R&D and management personnel.

In terms of R&D focus, the Wuhan hub will drive full-chain development across five product lines: airbags, steering wheels, seatbelts, automotive electronics, and inflators. The goal is to consolidate core technical capabilities for these lines within the Wuhan zone, establishing a comprehensive localized R&D system.

Talent development is another cornerstone of this regional strategy. Over the next five years, the center aims to cultivate nearly 100 core professionals across ten critical areas — including project management, engineering and product development, system integration, quality and process management, market development, operations, testing, and cost engineering. This recruitment drive is designed to bolster the group's talent pipeline and support its overseas expansion.

The Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone has been actively recruiting smart automotive software and core components projects in recent years. The arrival of Jinheng's R&D center further enriches the region's footprint in passive safety systems, offering automakers in Wuhan and the broader Central China region a more accessible option for safety system R&D support.
