Gasgoo Munich- KargoBot unveiled a large-scale AI transport network on September 22 during a launch event in Qipanjing, Ordos, Inner Mongolia. Building on its goal to achieve positive unit economics at the route level by 2025, the company further detailed its "1+N+X" strategy and three core product lines.

KargoBot has established three product lines. Hybrid intelligent platooning has been deployed at scale, boosting transport profit margins by 10% to 18% compared to traditional models. Single-vehicle intelligence targets short-haul, industrial parks, and ports, lifting full-cycle profit margins by over 20%. Cockpit-less transport robots are currently in testing and iteration, with potential economic gains per vehicle rising from 20% to 30%. Through platooning, a single operator can manage two to three vehicles, effectively lowering labor costs and achieving positive unit economics.
Regarding network expansion, KargoBot is executing a "1+N+X" strategy, using Ordos as a pilot model to expand into multiple regions and scenarios. The company has partnered with 8 OEMs and 30 ecosystem partners, covering Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Hebei. Operations span steel, express delivery, industrial products, components, and agriculture. On compliance, KargoBot holds the most commercial unmanned operation licenses for L4 autonomous trucks in China, as well as the nation's first cross-city commercial pilot qualification.
Technologically, KargoBot has trained a foundational truck model using a fleet of hundreds of autonomous trucks and millions of kilometers of L4 operational data. Over the past two years, key disengagement metrics have improved by more than 180 times. Operationally, the company has integrated with the Ordos Group to streamline the entire process—from factory demand and coal production to loading and unloading—achieving a closed-loop of routine unmanned operations without safety drivers. Deployment time for a single route has been nearly halved from 8 to 12 months.
To address operations and personnel transitions amid fleet scaling, KargoBot launched the "Wrangler Project." This initiative selects experienced drivers from partner fleets, certifying them through theoretical and practical training to become autonomous platoon managers. This shifts their role from driving vehicles to managing fleets, accompanied by a corresponding salary increase. Additionally, the company leverages dispatch algorithms accumulated on the KargoBot platform for intelligent scheduling, while gradually establishing mobile service stations and security systems to support large-scale networked operations.
