Leapmotor expanded its lineup in April with a significant new release. The D19 officially launched on April 16 with a starting price of 219,800 yuan. Incorporating a decade of proprietary R&D, the model blends cutting-edge intelligent technology with premium features to deliver a driving experience that offers superior value.
Then on April 24, the Lafa 5 Ultra launched with a limited-time starting price of 118,800 yuan. The vehicle features comprehensive upgrades across styling, handling, intelligence, and comfort, designed to meet the demand for high-end mobility.
On the technology and safety front, Leapmotor is demonstrating its strength. The A10 recently passed a rigorous dual-scenario roof crush test, recording load figures well above the latest national standards. In an outdoor trial, the vehicle withstood a 6.6-ton container—setting a new safety benchmark with what the company calls "mobile fortress" protection.
Meanwhile, a teardown analysis of the D19's dual 8797 chip highlighted its "cabin-driving integrated" core brain. This underscores Leapmotor's forward-thinking approach to intelligent tech and its ability to bring advanced innovations to mass production.
The rollout of intelligent features is accelerating as well. Starting in April, Leapmotor began a broad expansion of its City Navigation Assist, with availability now open across multiple models. By May, the company plans to roll out nationwide City NAP and door-to-door navigation features to users. Leveraging its proprietary R&D, Leapmotor now offers advanced driver assistance across its entire lineup—from the 100,000-yuan class A10 to the flagship D19—bringing high-end smart driving capabilities to daily driving scenarios.
