Gasgoo Munich- On March 17, Leapmotor unveiled its latest advancements and roadmap in driver assistance, alongside full-year financial results for 2025.

On the deployment front, Leapmotor officially launched its City Navigation Assist Pilot (CNAP) in June 2025, gradually expanding the feature to models based on its B and C platforms. By February 2026, the company initiated its first rollout of City Navigation on Autopilot for B- and C-platform vehicles, covering several key cities and further optimizing the urban driving experience.
According to the plan, Leapmotor expects to introduce nationwide City Navigation on Autopilot in the second quarter of 2026, aiming for a leading position in the industry. By the end of 2026, the company plans to complete its intelligent driving base model and implement R&D based on large AI models, striving to achieve top-tier technical capabilities.
Zhu Jiangming, founder and chairman of Leapmotor, previously described the company's driver-assistance strategy as a "slow burn," designed to capitalize on late-mover advantages. He noted that while Leapmotor's autonomous driving team was small with limited investment around 2021, it has since caught up with the industry's pace and is approaching the first tier. A significant breakthrough is expected in 2026.
Financial results released on the same day show Leapmotor delivered 596,555 vehicles in 2025, doubling its sales for the second consecutive year to rank first among Chinese EV startups. Financially, the company achieved a net profit of 540 million yuan—its first full-year profit—making it only the second Chinese startup to reach this milestone. Annual revenue surged to 64.73 billion yuan, a 101.3% increase from 2024.
