Gasgoo Munich- Leapmotor disclosed the latest progress of its smart driving business at its mid-2026 earnings briefing, announcing that city navigation assistance has now been opened to its full lineup of A, B, C, and D-segment models. A complete assisted driving solution based on a new architecture will be officially released in September, aiming to deliver a significant leap in the smart driving experience.
According to management, city navigation assistance is now available across multiple series of current products, no longer limited to a handful of high-end trims. Under the OTA roadmap, models equipped with the 3.0 architecture will receive nationwide city navigation assistance in the third quarter. This update removes city whitelist restrictions and expands the boundaries for high-level smart driving scenarios, allowing more existing users to enjoy full-domain city driving capabilities.

The new architecture solution set to debut in September is a key technological achievement from Leapmotor's full-stack in-house development system. The company emphasized that this isn't just a simple software update, but an experience upgrade driven by the underlying architecture. Leapmotor continues to deploy hardware and software across L2+, L3, and L4 levels, alongside smart chassis technology. R&D spending remained high in the first half of the year, providing support for algorithm iteration and data accumulation.
Industry-wide, advanced city smart driving in China is shifting quickly from "selected cities" to "nationwide availability," making large-scale OTA updates the standard rollout method. Leapmotor is actively unlocking advanced features for older models while developing the next-generation underlying smart driving architecture, striking a balance between protecting current user benefits and ensuring future product competitiveness.
