Gasgoo Munich- Xiaomi founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced on March 13 that development of the new-generation SU7 is progressing smoothly, with an official launch set for this month.
"After more than two years of refinement, the new-generation SU7 delivers massive upgrades in safety, handling, smart features, and luxury feel," Lei Jun said. "We are now fully focused on production preparations and will begin mass deliveries immediately after the launch."

Xiaomi Auto previously indicated the model would hit the market in April 2026. The new-generation SU7 actually opened pre-orders in early January 2026, with a pre-sale price range of 229,900 to 309,900 yuan.
Disclosed details reveal extensive upgrades to the exterior, interior, intelligent driving, and safety systems. Visually, the front grille has been optimized, and the color palette now adds Capri Blue to the existing Gulf Blue. The wheels are redesigned 20-inch alloys, paired with tires sized 245mm front and 265mm rear—the wider rear tread improving grip. For braking, the entire line now comes standard with four-piston fixed calipers, while the Max version features Brembo calipers, drilled rotors, and low-metallic brake pads.
Inside, the new SU7 introduces a Midnight Black option alongside the existing Obsidian Black. The steering wheel has been reshaped, with refined stitching details across the console, door panels, and seats. Soft-touch surfaces have been expanded, complemented by a wraparound, three-layer ambient lighting system. Physical buttons in the central tunnel have also been updated.
The new-generation SU7 boasts a systematic overhaul in configuration. On the safety front, all models come standard with a 2,200MPa embedded steel roll cage and side-impact beams in all four doors, alongside an upgraded suite of nine airbags—adding rear side airbags. The chassis features a 1,500MPa protective beam and a high-strength coating that the company claims offers ten times the resistance to scratching and tearing compared to the base design. Addressing user concerns, the door handles now feature triple redundancy across the lineup, supporting mechanical opening from both inside and outside the vehicle.
For power and endurance, the new-generation SU7 is equipped with a V6s Plus motor, delivering 320 horsepower in the Standard version and 690 horsepower in the Max. The entire lineup utilizes a silicon carbide high-voltage platform: the Standard and Pro versions run on a 752V architecture, while the Max version operates at 897V. Range figures stand at 720 km under CLTC conditions for the Standard model, reaching 902 km for the Pro. Smart driving hardware is comprehensive, with LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar now standard across the range.
