Gasgoo Munich- OnJuly 9, 2026, Li Auto CEO Li Xiang officially announced a major addition to the company's "9 Series" flagship SUV family: the Li i9. He also confirmed that the new model will make its public debut this September.
Notably, the rear of the i9 will feature a dedicated "Home" badge, and a Home version will be launched. The i9 will become only the second Li Auto model to carry the "Home" designation, following the MEGA. The previous MEGA Home family special edition centered around second-row zero-gravity swivel seats, offering 45-degree easy access, a 90-degree camping mode, and a 180-degree face-to-face parent-child mode — transforming the cabin into a versatile, mobile living space.

In terms of dimensions, the i9 cuts a flagship figure, measuring 5,225 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,168 mm. Official side-view details reveal that the i9 continues the i-series' low-drag, streamlined design language. The rear features a slimmer, more elongated full-width taillight cluster than the i8, while the door handles adopt an innovative semi-hidden design.
As the flagship of Li Auto's pure-electric portfolio, the i9 will further diversify the brand's lineup. Li Auto has established a dual-track product architecture featuring the L-series (extended-range) and the i-series (pure electric). With the i9's arrival, high-end family users gain yet another significant option. Li Xiang's description of the vehicle as "our first family pure-electric flagship SUV, the second Home" serves not only as precise product positioning but also reflects the company's deep consideration of family mobility scenarios.
