Gasgoo Munich-Li Auto marked a milestone on February 10: its 4,000th supercharging station is now live. The new 5C station, located at the Linghai Service Area on the Jingha Expressway, features 20 chargers on one side—12 offering 5C speeds and eight capable of 4C charging.
The automaker now boasts the largest self-built fast-charging network in the industry. With 22,173 chargers spread across 289 cities and 31 provinces, Li Auto’s infrastructure footprint is rapidly expanding.
Highway coverage is a particular focus. Li Auto has installed over 1,200 stations along major expressways, completing its "nine vertical and nine horizontal" national grid. On average, drivers encounter a Li Auto station roughly every 130 kilometers.
To ease the pressure of the Spring Festival travel rush, Li Auto has rolled out multi-dimensional upgrades to its charging services.

The network includes more than 4,500 5C chargers, with over 500 stations equipped entirely with the high-power hardware. To maximize availability, Li Auto’s system prioritizes power allocation for its own vehicles when they share stations with other brands.
Cold weather often dampens charging speeds, so Li Auto integrated low-temperature optimization into its holiday strategy. Both its pure EV and L series allow drivers to pre-condition batteries via the infotainment screen; pure EV owners can also trigger this remotely through the mobile app to ensure faster charging in the cold.
During the holiday, staff will be deployed at high-traffic highway locations to manage queues. With the recent OTA 8.3 update, drivers can now view real-time images of charging stations directly on the dashboard, helping them plan stops and cut down wait times.
Coverage now extends to 289 cities. Li Auto is also leaning on tech to simplify the process: its VLA charging feature allows vehicles to autonomously park and open the charging port while in assisted driving mode, leaving the driver to simply plug in the connector.
Infrastructure design plays a role too. All Li Auto stations are ground-level, featuring extra-wide berths and lightweight cables. For owners who activate plug-and-charge functionality, the process is streamlined: plug in to charge, then drive off when finished.
