Gasgoo Munich- The new Li Auto L9 began deliveries in Changzhou and Hangzhou on May 17. More cities are set to follow suit.

Launched on May 15, the new L9 marks Li Auto’s first flagship SUV to feature embodied AI technology. It comes in two trims—the L9 Livis and the L9 Ultra—priced at 459,800 yuan and 509,800 yuan, respectively.

For Li Xiang, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, embodied AI is a massive industry destined to take many forms. Yet autonomous driving and general-purpose humanoid robots will inevitably dominate the sector—representing the first and second halves of this evolution, respectively.

That is why Li Auto updated its corporate vision earlier this year: to become a global leader in embodied AI. The new L9 Livis is the first flagship product to realize that ambition.

As Li Auto’s inaugural entry into the embodied AI era, the new L9 is more than a passive vehicle executing commands. It is endowed with the ability to perceive its environment, understand intent, anticipate needs, and evolve continuously.

This capability stems from the new L9’s Li Auto-developed Mach M100 chips. With two units delivering total computing power of 2,560 TOPS and paired with the Mach VLA model and Star Ring OS, the vehicle evolves into a "life form" capable of learning and growth.

Under the hood, the new L9 features Li Auto’s third-generation self-developed range-extender system and a 72.7 kWh 5C supercharging battery. That setup delivers 420 km of pure electric range and a total range of 1,650 km.

The chassis is another major upgrade. The new L9 introduces the world’s first "fully integrated" steer-by-wire chassis, combining steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and EMB wire-controlled mechanical braking. Paired with an 800V active suspension, it elevates the handling agility and ride comfort of this full-size SUV—measuring over 5.2 meters in length—to a new level.

Facing aggressive competition from rivals like the AITO M9 and NIO ES8, Li Auto needs a technological flagship to secure its high-end positioning. Beyond its established strengths of range extension and spaciousness, the new L9 leverages embodied AI to build a differentiated technical moat—potentially setting a new benchmark for the premium family SUV market.
