Lifan to export EVs to Taiwan

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 16) - A Chinese own made electric vehicle will be making its first appearance in Taiwan as Chongqing-based Lifan begins selling its models there, the Beijing Times reported today. Lifan is reportedly also considering producing vehicles in Taiwan.

Lifan has signed an agreement with its Taiwanese counterpart approving export of the first 620 vehicles. Lifan currently is able to produce 5,000 electric vehicles per year at its Shanghai production base, and is hoping to sell 1,000 and 5,000 vehicles this year and next, respectively.
