On Jan. 1, Gasgoo noted that M-HERO released its full-year sales. The data show that in 2025, M-HERO sold a total of 10,228 vehicles — a 38.7% year-on-year increase.
In December, M-HERO sold 3,002 vehicles, up 49.6% from the prior month.

On Dec. 26, Dongfeng M-HERO said the 10,000th M817 rolled off the line. The company also said Dongfeng Motor achieved 1 million new-energy vehicle sales in 2025.
M-HERO is Dongfeng's new-energy luxury off-road brand. Beyond M-HERO, Dongfeng New Energy currently operates several brands, including VOYAH, eπ, Nano, and Aeolus.
The M-HERO M817 went on sale on Aug. 17 this year with two variants, priced at CNY 319,900 and CNY 349,900, positioned as a luxury smart off-road SUV. Then on Sept. 29, the long-range addition — the M-HERO M817 Max+ — launched with an official list price of CNY 369,900.
On the tech front, the M817 adopts Huawei's full Qiankun Intelligent Vehicle Solution. It uses ADS 4 intelligent driving, Harmony Space 5 cockpit, Qiankun Car Cloud, Whale‑Fin communication, and Qiankun Vehicle Control — five cutting-edge systems. It supports all-terrain intelligent recognition and features the Harmony Space 5 cockpit for seamless integration between the vehicle and mobile devices.
For power, the M817 pairs a 1.5‑liter turbocharged engine with electric motors in a plug‑in hybrid system, built on a P1+P3+P4 intelligent electric four‑wheel‑drive architecture. The system delivers 505 kW and 848 N·m of torque. Official 0–100 km/h time is 5.2 seconds. CLTC combined range is 1,300 km, and fuel consumption with a depleted battery is 7.24 L/100 km. The M817 Max+ comes standard with CATL's 50.4 kWh Xiaoyao battery, offering 215 km CLTC pure‑electric range and boosting CLTC combined range to 1,365 km.
