Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd., a unit of Daimler AG, had an 83% increase in sales in October from a year earlier to 6,400 units, spokesman Trevor Hale said Friday.
Sales for the January-October period rose 55% from a year earlier to 50,700 units, he said.
Mercedes-Benz's sales in China last year rose 44% to 38,700 units. The German auto maker has a joint venture in China with Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co.
