TOKYO — Mitsubishi on Tuesday offered more details about the Europe-spec version of its i MiEV electric car, saying it will arrive in 14 countries in December with prices ranging from the U.S. equivalent of $41,915-$44,455 before any government incentives. The Euro version of the i MiEV will be shown at the 2010 Paris Auto Show.
Changes versus the Japanese version of the car are minimal. They include revised bumpers to meet European Union regulations, a "rearranged center stack" and "improved interior comfort." The Euro-spec i MiEV also gets stability control and side and curtain airbags.
Mitsubishi said it expects the car to "remain under" the U.S. equivalent of $38,106 in "a majority of countries it is to be sold in." Those countries include France, the U.K., Germany, Spain and Sweden.
