Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 5) - Mitsubishi Motors Japan has announced an official recall of its exported ASX crossover SUV (the Chinese version of the Outlander Sport), the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced yesterday. The recall will target ASXs produced from May 2010, five of which are reported to be within the mainland.
The recall is being made due to a fault with a layer of the effected ASXs' sunroofs lacking protective coating, which may lead to the glass separating from the vehicle. Mitsubishi will undertake free inspection and replacement of all recalled vehicles in order to prevent any potential safety risks.
