Powered by a single Horizon Robotics Journey 6M chip, the HCT Astra system delivers 128 TOPS of computing power. Through deep model distillation, compression, and algorithm-hardware co-optimization, the solution retains core decision-making capabilities while streamlining the model—performing on par with chips in the 200 to 500 TOPS range. The system utilizes a diffusion generation model and a one-stage end-to-end architecture, achieving response times under 200ms and boasting generalization capabilities across cities and scenarios.
On the functional front, the system supports urban NOA, capable of handling complex challenges such as mixed traffic, non-motorized vehicle weaving, and irregular intersections. For highway driving, it enables intelligent adaptive cruise control, automatic lane changes, and ramp merging. Parking features include automatic and remote parking, as well as trail reversing, all bolstered by active safety systems designed to detect sudden risks.
The GWM's Big Dog is the second mass-production model to feature HCT Astra, following the iCAR V27, and the first HEV to adopt the solution. This production launch signals HCT Astra's expansion from pure electric vehicles to various powertrain forms, extending urban NOA to hybrid models and further validating its cross-powertrain adaptability.
To date, neueHCT has secured over 16 automaker clients and won designations for more than 70 models.
