Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 23) - Not long after reports of Saab submitting materials regarding its new 9-5 to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, pictures of the vehicle's SportWagon version have made their way into the public, auto.163.com reported today. The 9-5 sedan and SportWagon hatchback versions will make their debut in the Chinese market this October.
As with its predecessor, the D-pillar of the 9-5 SportWagon is hidden between the rear windshield and rear seat mirrors, forming a very classic design. The rear-end design can be traced to Cadillacs from the 1980s.
The SportWagon comes with either a 2.0 L or 2.8 L turbocharged engine, making 220 and 300 horsepower, respectively.
The hatchback comes with electronically adjustable front seats, an instant start button, a touch control LCD screen, Dolby surround speakers and Bluetooth phone, among other accessories. Additional courtesy lights located on the door hinges adds to the opulent feeling of the interior design.
