Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. yesterday held a Mazda 2 launching ceremony at Ujina1 factories, a plant near Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima. Approximately 550 staff, including Deputy Executive Director Robert J.Graziano and other high-level members together to celebrate the new Mazda 2 to be put in production, the first car will come to the Japanese domestic market by the beginning of the summer this year.
The new Mazda 2 debuted at the European Geneva Auto Show, later in the Shanghai Auto Show; it made its Asian debut.
With the new Mazda 2 in mass production at the U1 factories, Ujina 2 factory will go into Mazda 2 production in June of this year.
The new model will be on sales in Japan and then will come to Europe, Australia and other markets, and Mazda 2 is expected to be put into production in Chang'an Ford's Mazda factories in Nanjing, China by the end of this year.
