Gasgoo Munich- Xiaomi officially began initial deliveries of its new-generation SU7 at a ceremony in Shenzhen. Locked orders have already surpassed 30,000 units since launch, fueled by robust demand for test drives—over 50,000 people took the wheel last weekend alone. To streamline the pickup experience, the company started production two months ahead of schedule and prepared a stock of vehicles, shrinking the delivery cycle to between one and five weeks.

Among the first wave of owners, tech entrepreneurs make up a significant share, with a notably high proportion of female users. The Max trim accounts for more than 25% of orders. On the customization front, nearly 60% of buyers opted for paid paint finishes; Indigo Green leads the pack at over 25%, while Elegant Grey and Liquid Gold are also proving popular. For wheels, over 40% selected the 20-inch lotus-style rims paired with long-range tires, and the 21-inch two-piece forged lotus wheels have also attracted considerable interest.

Regarding range performance, several automotive media outlets conducted independent tests. Yiche reported the Pro trim achieved a comprehensive range of 785 km, topping the list for pure electric models. Autohome's tests recorded a range of 892 km with a 98.9% realization rate, managing 829.9 km even when fully loaded. Meanwhile, Dongchedi documented the Pro trim completing the 1,173 km journey from Beijing to Shanghai with just a single recharge.

On the product details front, the new-generation SU7 comes standard with an 18-way adjustable sports seat for the driver, featuring new cushion length adjustment and massage functions; a zero-gravity seat is optional for the front passenger. The cabin now includes nine magnetic mounting points, and accompanying magnetic dolls support NFC interaction, with more features set to arrive via OTA updates. The voice system also features custom easter eggs from sprinter Su Bingtian and actress Shu Qi.

Safety-wise, LiDAR comes standard across the lineup, alongside new blind spot monitoring for side mirrors and HUD displays, as well as one-touch cleaning for surround-view cameras. Owners can finely manage vehicle access permissions via the central screen or app, including a "driver-only unlock" mode. The door handle design meets upcoming 2027 national standards and incorporates multiple redundant unlocking mechanisms.

Separately, Xiaomi announced it will sponsor three top-tier domestic racing series: China GT, CEC, and CTCC. The SU7 Ultra and YU7 will serve as the safety car and medical car, respectively. The company is also soliciting public feedback on whether to conduct a teardown display of the new-generation SU7.
