Shanghai October 26 (Gasgoo.com) Nine Chinese automakers, accompanied by their mini vehicles, luxury vans and electric vehicles, will participate in the Sao Paulo Motor Show to be held in Brail starting October 27, 2010, Xinhua News Agency reported Tuesday.
According to Brazilian media reports, 42 automakers around the world, including nine from China such as JAC, Brilliance Auto, Haima Auto, etc., will take part in the auto show.
Among the models to be showcased at the auto show, nine will be sold in Brail next year. Starting March 18, 2010, JAC will sell through 46 dealers its vehicles in the country, with a total investment of $118 million, creating 1,000 jobs. In the same year, Brilliance Auto and Haima Auto will begin sales of many models in the Brazilian market.
Chery Auto, China's largest independent automaker, will invest $400 million to build its first factory in Brail in 2013. Moreover, BYD, Lifan, Changan, Hafei, Jianghuai and other own brand automakers in China have also shown interest in setting up plants in the country.
The Sao Paulo Motor Show will last until November 7, 2010.
