Gasgoo Munich- NIO released its latest delivery figures on April 1, showing the company handed over 35,486 vehicles in March. That represents a 136% surge from a year earlier and a 70.6% jump from February.

The data highlights the effectiveness of NIO's multi-brand strategy. The main NIO brand delivered 22,490 units — up 120.1% year-on-year and 48.4% from the previous month. Meanwhile, its mass-market ONVO brand saw deliveries jump 42.7% annually to 6,877 units, a dramatic 130.7% monthly surge. The Firefly brand contributed 6,119 units, up 130.3% month-over-month.

For the first quarter of 2026, cumulative deliveries reached 83,465 units — a 98.3% annual increase that beat the company's guidance of 80,000 to 83,000 units. To date, NIO's total deliveries have surpassed 1.08 million, hitting 1,081,057 units.

Strong performances across several models drove the growth. The new ES8 hit its 80,000th delivery on March 20, just 181 days after launch. ONVO's L90 saw monthly deliveries soar 155.1%, helping the brand surpass 140,000 cumulative sales. By March 29, Firefly had delivered its 50,000th unit, marking a milestone for the brand's expansion.

The delivery momentum reflects improving fundamentals. NIO reported its first quarterly operating profit in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to earnings released on March 10. The company posted an operating profit of 1.25 billion yuan and bolstered its cash reserves to 45.9 billion yuan — an increase of nearly 10 billion yuan from the previous quarter.

NIO is poised to kick off a wave of new product launches starting April 2. The 2026 versions of the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5T will debut first, featuring upgrades in design, configuration, and intelligent driving. On April 9, the company will host a technology launch for its flagship executive SUV, the ES9. Later in the month, ONVO will release the 2026 L90, adding a flagship model with LiDAR, while the ONVO L80 and a refreshed Firefly model are set to follow. This fresh product offensive is expected to further accelerate NIO's delivery growth.
