Gasgoo Munich- NIO announced on January 18 that deliveries of its all-new ES8 have topped 50,000 units — a milestone reached just 120 days after sales began.

A look at the timeline shows momentum building. The model hit 40,000 units on December 29, 2025 — exactly 100 days in. The climb from 40,000 to 50,000 took less than a month.
The all-electric SUV officially launched on the evening of September 20, 2025, offering consumers a range of purchasing options. Outright purchase prices range from 406,800 to 446,800 yuan, while the starting price drops to 298,800 yuan under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) leasing model.
As NIO's flagship SUV, the new ES8 has undergone a comprehensive upgrade. The interior balances technology with luxury, featuring a distinctive Skyline dashboard screen, a floating center console, and the NOMI AI system — now upgraded for smarter interaction.
The three-spoke steering wheel complements a redesigned center console, which shifts from the previous vertical layout to a horizontal orientation more in line with current trends — enhancing both visual continuity and ease of use.
Notably, the vehicle retains a significant number of physical buttons — 111 in total — alongside its digital interfaces. This design choice prioritizes practicality and allows for intuitive, blind operation in various driving scenarios.
Under the hood, the new ES8 is built on NIO's proprietary 900V high-voltage architecture. Its dual-motor powertrain delivers a combined peak output of 520 kW and 700 Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.97 seconds.
Standard equipment includes a 102 kWh battery pack supporting 4C ultra-fast charging, offering a CLTC range of 635 km. Energy consumption is kept at 16.6 kWh per 100 km, reflecting efficient management. Looking ahead, NIO's upcoming 120 kWh proprietary battery will support even faster 5C charging technology.
