On the product front, NIO's All-New ES8 reached a delivery milestone on February 27 in Wenzhou, where the 70,000th unit was handed over to a customer. The company said the model achieved this volume just 160 days after deliveries began. As a full-size, three-row all-electric SUV positioned at the higher end of the market, the new ES8 has maintained a consistent delivery pace since launch, reflecting stable demand in the family-oriented premium segment.
February also marked several milestones for NIO's energy business. On February 6, the company's cumulative battery swap services surpassed 100 million sessions, highlighting the scale it has achieved with its signature battery swapping network. During the 2026 Spring Festival travel period, NIO provided more than 2.07 million battery swaps, with average daily service volume up 29.4% compared with the previous year's holiday. Between February 15 and 23, NIO Energy's highway charging and battery swapping network delivered over 25.28 million kWh of electricity, accounting for 15% of the total energy supplied on China's expressways during that period. From February 18 onward, the company set new single-day battery swap records for five consecutive days, reflecting heavy holiday travel demand.
In parallel with its operational gains, NIO is strengthening its technology stack. On February 26, its chip subsidiary, Anhui Shenji Technology Co., Ltd., signed agreements for its first round of external equity financing. The round is to raise more than 2.2 billion yuan and valued the company at close to 10 billion yuan post-investment. Proceeds will be directed toward the development and commercialization of high-end automotive chips, supporting NIO's longer-term ambitions in autonomous driving and embodied intelligence as the industry increasingly shifts toward vertically integrated software and semiconductor capabilities.
