Gasgoo Munich- On June 9, NIO stated in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it had noted the U.S. Department of Defense's decision to include the company on its "Chinese Military Company" list.
NIO stated that it believes the inclusion on the CMC list lacks justification, as the company is neither a Chinese military enterprise nor a contributor to the civil-military fusion of China's defense industrial base.
NIO clarified that the CMC list is not a sanctions list. U.S. government procurement restrictions associated with the list will not impact the company's business, nor does the CMC list restrict the trading of its securities. The company plans to actively engage with the U.S. Department of Defense to correct the inclusion, including pursuing legal action if necessary, to safeguard the interests of the company and all shareholders.

On June 1, NIO released its latest delivery figures: 37,705 new vehicles were delivered in May, a 62.3% surge year-on-year and a 28.4% increase from April, marking a new monthly record for the brand.
Data indicates that NIO's multi-brand strategy is gaining significant traction. Its flagship NIO brand delivered 20,013 units, up 50.8% from a year ago. The family-oriented Onvo brand stood out with 12,029 deliveries — a 91.5% year-on-year jump and a massive 124.8% increase month-over-month — while the new Firefly brand delivered 5,663 units, climbing 53.9%. From January to May, cumulative deliveries reached 150,526 units, a 68.7% increase. With this, NIO's total historical deliveries have officially surpassed the 1.14 million mark, reaching 1,148,118 units.
