The data underscores the effectiveness of NIO's multi-brand strategy. Its main NIO brand delivered 20,013 units, up 50.8% from a year ago. The family-oriented Onvo brand stood out with 12,029 deliveries—a 91.5% annual spike and a massive 124.8% monthly jump—while the upstart Firefly brand contributed 5,663 units, rising 53.9%. Cumulative deliveries from January through May reached 150,526, a 68.7% increase. With that, NIO’s lifetime deliveries have officially crossed the 1.14 million milestone, totaling 1,148,118 units.
On the product front, NIO is accelerating its launch cadence. The ES9, a tech-focused executive flagship SUV, began deliveries immediately following its May 27 debut. Onvo has been equally active: the L80 launched and started deliveries on May 15, while the 2026 L90 began deliveries on May 9. The highly anticipated new Onvo L60 made its debut and opened pre-orders at the 30th Greater Bay Area Auto Show in late May; display vehicles have now arrived at stores nationwide, with an official launch set for June 11.
As new models roll out and production capacity ramps up, NIO is further cementing its leadership in the intelligent electric vehicle market, leveraging a three-tiered brand architecture that spans high-end, mass-market, and entry-level segments.
