The pace has accelerated noticeably. By December 29, 2025—100 days into deliveries—the ES8 had already crossed the 40,000-unit mark. Reaching the next 10,000-unit deliveries took less than a month, highlighting the model's rapid sales momentum.

The All-New ES8 officially went on sale on September 20, 2025, with NIO offering flexible purchase options. The SUV is priced between RMB 406,800 and RMB 446,800 for an outright vehicle purchase, while customers opting for NIO's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription can access a significantly lower entry price starting at RMB 298,800.

Positioned as NIO's flagship SUV, the new ES8 has undergone comprehensive upgrades. The cabin blends a strong sense of technology with premium finishes, featuring a distinctive Skyline display, a floating central touchscreen, and the latest evolution of NIO's NOMI in-car AI assistant, which brings more intuitive and intelligent interactions.

A three-spoke steering wheel anchors the driver's cockpit, while the central display has shifted from a vertical layout to a widescreen horizontal format, improving visual coherence and day-to-day usability.

Notably, despite its emphasis on digital interaction, the ES8 retains a substantial number of physical controls—111 buttons in total—striking a balance between advanced interfaces and the practicality of tactile operation in certain driving scenarios.

Under the skin, the ES8 is built on NIO's full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture. A dual-motor setup delivers a combined peak output of 520 kW and 700 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.97 seconds.

The vehicle comes standard with a 102 kWh battery pack supporting 4C ultra-fast charging. Under the CLTC cycle, it delivers a driving range of 635 km, with energy consumption kept to 16.6 kWh per 100 km, reflecting NIO's focus on efficiency. Looking ahead, the company plans to introduce a self-developed 120 kWh battery that will support even faster 5C charging, further enhancing long-distance usability.
