According to data released by NIO, the new ES8 recorded 16,255 deliveries in March 2026, maintaining steady market performance. It has secured the top spot in sales for vehicles priced above 400,000 yuan for three consecutive months. Hefei has emerged as a key market for the ES8. It ranked as the city's best-selling vehicle across all categories in January and February 2026, regardless of body style, powertrain, or price range. Its dominance is particularly sharp in the large SUV segment: NIO claims that for every three large SUVs sold in Hefei, two are the new ES8.

The all-electric ES8 offers flexible purchasing options. Buying the vehicle outright costs between 406,800 and 446,800 yuan, while the starting price drops to 298,800 yuan under NIO's Battery as a Service (BaaS) leasing plan.

As NIO's flagship SUV, the new ES8 receives comprehensive upgrades. The interior blends technology with luxury, featuring a distinctive Skyline dashboard screen, a floating central display, and an upgraded NOMI AI system with smarter interactions. The three-spoke steering wheel complements a redesigned central console. It replaces the previous generation's vertical layout with a widescreen horizontal orientation, improving visual cohesion and usability.

Notably, the new model retains a focus on physical usability alongside its digital features. There are 111 physical buttons throughout the cabin, ensuring practicality and ease of use without looking at the controls.

On the powertrain front, the new ES8 is built on NIO's global 900V high-voltage architecture. The dual-motor system delivers a combined peak output of 520 kW and 700 Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.97 seconds.

Standard equipment includes a 102 kWh 4C supercharging battery pack, offering a range of 635 kilometers under CLTC conditions. Energy consumption is managed efficiently at 16.6 kWh per 100 km. Looking ahead, NIO plans to introduce a proprietary 120 kWh battery supporting even faster 5C charging technology.
