Gasgoo Munich- Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has unveiled a series of senior management appointments for the China region, effective April 1, 2026.

Liu Xinyu has been appointed General Manager of Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd., reporting directly to Ma Zhixin—a member of Nissan's Executive Committee, Chairman of Nissan China, and President of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Liu becomes the first Chinese national to serve as General Manager of the investment arm.
Liu brings over two decades of automotive management experience, spanning supply chain management, brand operations, marketing, and international expansion. Having held key posts at several major automakers, he combines deep insight into the Chinese market with operational experience in Europe. During his time at Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co., Liu helped steer the joint venture's transition to new energy vehicles, driving reforms in marketing, optimizing sales channels, and refreshing the brand's image.
According to his official biography, Liu served as Senior Advisor to the General Manager of Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. from January to March 2026, paving the way for his new role. Previously, he was General Manager of Dongfeng Nissan Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. from May 2023 to December 2025.
On the education front, Liu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engines from Tongji University and a Master of Engineering in Automotive Structure and Passive Safety from the university's Sino-German College. He also earned an EMBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Shinkichi Izumi, the outgoing General Manager of Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd., will return to Japan. Nissan Motor Co. plans to announce his future assignment in due course.
