Gasgoo Munich- On May 8, NXP Semiconductors announced the signing of a "Strategic Cooperation MoU 2.0" with Shenzhen Hangsheng Electronic Co., Ltd., formally inaugurating a new phase of deep strategic collaboration. The partnership will focus on key areas such as smart cockpits, intelligent driving, and secure connectivity, aiming to jointly drive innovative breakthroughs in software-defined vehicles and AI applications.

The collaboration between NXP and Hangsheng spans over three decades, with both parties continuously deepening their work in smart cockpits, infotainment systems, and intelligent connectivity—having previously co-driven multiple cutting-edge technologies to global mass production. As a long-term strategic partner, NXP intends to fully leverage its leading product portfolio and system-level solutions in software-defined vehicles, edge AI, and secure connectivity to advance with Hangsheng into a deeply synergistic "2.0" phase, elevating their system-level co-creation capabilities. The two companies also plan to establish "Joint Technology Innovation Centers" in Shenzhen, Yangzhou, and Chengdu to integrate resources and build an incubation platform for frontier applications.
Yang Hong, chairman of Hangsheng Group, said the company is accelerating its transformation into an AI-driven technology enterprise, dedicated to becoming a leader in the global automotive electronics sector. Establishing joint technology innovation centers with NXP is a critical measure to achieve this goal. By combining their strengths in technology, markets, and resources, the two sides will focus on frontier fields like next-generation smart cockpits and intelligent driving, aiming to shorten innovation cycles and boost global competitiveness.
Lydia Hu, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Greater China at NXP Semiconductors, noted that China's automotive industry is making a critical leap from "big" to "strong." The deepening of "Strategic Cooperation 2.0" serves as a significant milestone in their 30-year partnership and underscores NXP's commitment to empowering local customers and boosting their global competitiveness. "We will rely on NXP's global technology resources and localized support system to work with Hangsheng in accelerating the deployment of emerging technologies, helping them build international competitiveness," Hu added.
