BOLOGNA, Italy — Opel is presenting mildly face-lifted versions of its Corsa compact and Antara crossover at the 2010 Bologna Auto Show.

The new Corsa, which heads to Opel and Vauxhall dealers in early 2011, offers European buyers a wide choice of gasoline and diesel engines, ranging in output up to 192 horsepower. The most frugal Corsa for 2011 features a new 1.3-liter ecoFlex turbodiesel engine that makes 95 hp and 150 pound-feet of torque while returning average fuel economy of 67 mpg.

The Antara has a redesigned interior, a retuned suspension, upgraded transmissions and a choice of three new engines.

The basic model gets a 165-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder gas engine and front-wheel drive. Opel also offers a new 2.2-liter common-rail turbodiesel in two outputs — 161 hp and 181 hp. Transmission choices include six-speed manual and automatic. All-wheel drive is an option.

Exterior enhancements include a new grille, foglamps, taillamps and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The base Antara is priced in Europe from just over $35,000.
