Gasgoo Munich-OPmobility signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Anting Town in Shanghai's Jiading District on October 27, according to a post on OPmobility's WeChat account. The agreement focuses on the development and deployment of Type IV hydrogen storage tanks and storage systems, as well as localized validation of hydrogen technologies, with the aim of advancing their application and development in China.

Strengthening Hydrogen Development in China
OPmobility, a global player in sustainable mobility, identifies hydrogen energy as a strategic pillar in its efforts to support the low-carbon transition of transportation and achieve its long-term net-zero emissions goals. Its new energy business established a presence in Shanghai in 2022 and is advancing the development and validation of Type IV hydrogen storage tanks while supporting local innovation and talent development.

China Technical Center Nears Operational Launch
OPmobility's China Technical Center has completed construction and passed review by the relevant local authorities. Equipment installation and commissioning are now underway. The center is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2026, providing a local platform for hydrogen engineering R&D, performance testing, technical validation and technology commercialization.
