ABC.az (Baku) - French producer Renault views Azerbaijan as the market for electric vehicles’ sales, but in long-term prospect.
Renault’s Commercial Director for Eurasia Denny Le Vott has stated that in order to start sales of this product it is necessary to form infrastructure and purchasers’ interest.
The first step in this direction was test-drive of Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Express Z.E. models carried out at the end of June in Moscow within international road show organized by the company and oriented for promotion of electric technologies at the world market.
Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Express Z.E. were tested in ecological park "Sokolniki". Fluence Z.E. is a prestigious automobile designed for private clients and car park owners; Kangoo Express Z.E. is a compact, lightweight van designed for the use in suburbs and build-up areas for small and medium business owners. Despite obvious difference the electric vehicles have something in common- ecological characteristics, accessibility and unique style.
"Within the presentation in Sokolniki we were able to get acquainted closer with our partners in Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan and learn more about peculiarity of each market. Renault is sure that electric traction is automobile construction’s future and it means that more and more models will be charged with socket in different countries of the world", Vott noted.
