Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 9) - The pricing chart for SAIC-GM-Wuling's upcoming own brand car, the Baojun 630, were released earlier this week, auto.163.com reported today. The car will be offered in three versions, standard, comfort and luxury, with prices ranging from 62,800 yuan to 73,800 yuan ($9,781-$11,494).
The 630 was designed at the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, famed for their simple and modern approach. The car borrows many elements from foreign cars including the Chevrolet New Sail to Buick GL8. Size-wise the 630 is slightly larger than other its competitors in the small car segment, with a wheelbase of 2.64 meters. The interior of the car is spacious yet warm, with special attention paid to the central control deck. The car is powered by a 81 kw 1.5 L engine making 147 Nm of torque mated to either a six-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission.
