French automobile maker PSA Peugeot Citroen plans to introduce two new models to China each year in the next five years, said Eric Apode, vice president of the company's China Technology Center in Shanghai.
The models will be tailored to Chinese tastes, Apode said, without elaborating.
The French company manufactures cars in China via a joint venture, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co.
Sales in China of Citroen-brand vehicles rose 39% from a year earlier to 108,854 units in the first nine months of this year, while sales of Peugeot vehicles rose 24% to 78,938 units in the nine months ended Sept. 30, according to market research firm JD Power.
