The new model features Tesla's high-performance powertrain, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. Its CLTC range reaches 659 km, a significant increase over the previous generation due to improved overall efficiency. For charging, the vehicle supports supercharging at up to 250 kW, adding approximately 250 km of range in 15 minutes.
For the chassis, the Model Y Performance comes with an adaptive suspension featuring continuously variable damping, offering independent tuning for Standard and Sport modes. It uses standard 21-inch "Spider" wheels 2.0 with a staggered tire setup (255mm front, 275mm rear) and exclusive red brake calipers to enhance handling. Visually, the car sports a redesigned front fascia and an extended carbon fiber rear spoiler, with a lowered ride height resulting in a more aggressive stance.
With the Performance variant now available, the Model Y lineup in China has expanded to five models, priced between 263,500 CNY and 369,000 CNY. Regarding safety, the Model Y previously secured dual five-star ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, along with the "Top Safety Pick+" designation from the IIHS.
