PARIS, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Renault Samsung Motors (RSM), the South Korean subsidiary of French carmaker Renault will launch a high-end vehicle for export markets at the end of 2009, its CEO Jean-Marie Hurtiger told the La Tribune newspaper.

The four-door vehicle will be produced in Busan and sold under the Renault brand in Russia, the Persian Gulf, Latin America as well as Western Europe and France, he told the business daily's Monday edition. The vehicle will partially replace the Vel Satis, produced since 2001 in France, but which has not been a success, the paper said.

Hurtiger said mass production of a 4X4 vehicle in Korea would start at the end of this month, with around 100,000 being produced a year.

He said RSM aimed overall to produce 170,000 units this year, rising to more than 200,000 in 2008 and 300,000 toward 2010-2011.
