Gasgoo Munich- Shanghai Robbyant Technology Co., Ltd. and the Arab Federation for Digital Economy (AFDE) signed a framework cooperation memorandum in Hangzhou, according to Gasgoo. The deal was signed during the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo held from Sept. 23 to 27. The two sides aim to establish a regular cooperation mechanism. They will advance the deployment of full-stack embodied intelligence and robotics solutions. The focus will be on the UAE, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the broader Middle East market.
The partners outlined several core areas of collaboration. They will push for the regional deployment of Robbyant's embodied intelligence technologies. Joint concept verification and industry applications are set to launch. Sectors include hospitality, retail, real estate, and logistics. Others include industrial operations, smart cities, healthcare, and entertainment.
Regarding localization, the duo will explore adapting solutions. These include Arabic-language interaction and regional operational environments. They also target local workflows. Subject to regulatory compliance, they aim to collaborate on data and training. This will occur within real-world Middle Eastern scenarios. The initiative seeks to foster multi-party cooperation. Participants include governments and enterprises. Research institutions and investors in China and the Middle East are also involved.
Robbyant's self-developed LingBot-VLA 2.0 foundation model supports 17 brands. It covers 20 robot configurations during its pre-training phase. Zhu Xing, CEO of Robbyant, noted the importance of generalization capability. He stated it is the core determinant of commercial success. The company remains committed to training physical-world foundation models from scratch. This adapts the models to different hardware configurations and scenarios. A cloud-based toolchain platform is planned for release soon.
Robbyant’s related open-source models have 31,800 stars on GitHub. Its technical solutions are operational in real-world scenarios. Examples include pharmacies, logistics, and industrial loading. For instance, in a smart pharmacy developed with Shanghai Guoda Pharmacy, robots use this model. They perform precise, round-the-clock medication picking. This is possible within narrow aisles just 80 centimeters wide.
