Gasgoo Munich-Poly Development Holdings and Beijing Galbot have signed a strategic partnership in Guangzhou. The alliance pairs urban space operations with embodied intelligence, targeting robot deployments across residential communities, commercial spaces, and urban services.
Under the agreement, Poly Development will leverage its space resources and operational strengths across residential, commercial, office, hotel, and industrial park sectors. Galbot, for its part, will supply the tech muscle: embodied AI large models, robot hardware, and data training support.

The partners also plan to co-develop high-quality embodied AI data systems and spatial intelligence operation platforms. By executing tasks in real-world settings and feeding the data back, they aim to accelerate robot capability upgrades — laying the groundwork for robot-friendly communities and related technical standards.
Liu Ping, chairman of Poly Development, said the company will explore merging smart technology with building operations and daily services — extending its focus from "good houses" to "good communities and good lives."
Yin Fangming, Galbot's chairman, noted that urban spaces — rich in scenarios yet complex in environment — are vital testing grounds for validating embodied AI, accumulating data, and iterating products.
Galbot has already rolled out its embodied large model, "Galaxy Star Brain," and a data system dubbed "Galaxy Star Data." On the commercial front, its Galaxy Space Cabin operates across nearly 50 cities and roughly 200 stores nationwide, while its smart pharmacies span over 30 cities with close to 100 locations. The company's robots have also pushed into industrial manufacturing.
The partnership pushes Galbot's reach deeper into urban space operations. Even so, neither side has disclosed deployment scales or project timelines. Compared with standardized commercial settings, open environments like residential communities demand far more from robots in terms of autonomous operation, safety, and operating costs.
