Gasgoo Munich-SAIC Maxus officially launched 27 variants of the Interstellar X in Enshi, Hubei, on September 21, with prices starting at 185,800 yuan. The automaker also officially established "Interstellar Alliance," an owner ecosystem organization.

The Interstellar X lineup is powered by a SAIC π Plus 2.5T diesel engine, delivering a maximum torque of 520 Nm — with 300 Nm of low-end torque available at just 1,000 rpm. It features Super Select four-wheel drive, fully electronic three differential locks, and the ATS 3.0 intelligent all-terrain system, boasting a maximum climbing gradient of 100% and a towing capacity of 3.5 tons. The chassis utilizes double-wishbone independent suspension front and rear, achieving a moose test speed of 75 km/h. Structurally, high- and ultra-high-strength steel comprise over 73% of the body. In terms of space, the cargo box depth extends up to 2,800 mm, offering a maximum expanded volume of 3,000 L.
Beyond the standard model, SAIC Maxus introduced two customized versions. The "Fishing Edition," developed with Hubei Zhenxu, starts at 236,000 yuan. The "Light Cavalry," created in partnership with Tyrannosaurus Kanlantes, is priced from 221,800 yuan; this variant carries RV registration and is designed for long-distance overlanding.
Coinciding with the launch, SAIC Maxus formed the "Interstellar Alliance" to provide a one-stop outdoor pickup solution, integrating vehicles, custom modifications, and owner communities. To date, SAIC Maxus pickups have accumulated more than 400,000 users globally.
