Seeds | Backed by AGIBOT, Leju, and Galaxea AI, who is Delta Intelligence?

Edited by Taylor From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-Delta Intelligence, a humanoid robotics foundational model company, recently closed an Angel++ financing round worth nearly 500 million yuan. Investors in this round include several listed corporate players and top-tier financial institutions.

Notably, this is the company's sixth round in just six months since its inception. Other backers include humanoid OEMs like AGIBOT, Leju Robot, and Galaxea AI; financial firms such as Hillhouse Ventures, Oriza Holdings, Fosun RZ Capital, Meridian Capital, and Lenovo Capital; as well as capital from the automotive and semiconductor sectors.

Delta Intelligence says the proceeds will go toward three main areas: continuous iteration of its foundational model, mass production of proprietary data collection devices and the construction of a data closed-loop, and expanding its core R&D team. The goal is to drive engineering validation of the technology in real-world industrial settings.

Founded in January 2026, Delta Intelligence was spun out of the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence. It boasts a complete capability loop, spanning foundational models, system architecture, and final delivery.

At its core, the company focuses on developing native foundational models for humanoid robots. Anchored by a proprietary 3D world engine, it aims to drive the evolution from fragmented capabilities to whole-body coordination, ultimately achieving general-purpose whole-body manipulation.

The proprietary 3D world engine uses 3D representations as its core, directly processing scene data such as point clouds and Gaussian splats. This enables native 3D understanding, reasoning, and prediction of future environmental states.

Built on this engine is a three-layer architecture combining "brain + cerebellum + force-position hybrid." The brain handles environmental perception, long-horizon task planning, and decision-making. The cerebellum manages whole-body balance and low-level control, converting sparse commands from the brain into whole-body motor signals ranging from tens to hundreds of Hertz. Finally, the force-position hybrid layer outputs compliant control.

However, training the brain relies on physical robot interaction data, which is currently scarce. To address this, Delta Intelligence developed the Delta D1, a head-mounted, whole-body panoramic data collection device, launching it alongside the funding announcement.

Users simply wear the D1 during normal operations—no motion capture studio or site retrofitting required. The device synchronously records first-person panoramic vision and whole-body joint trajectories, with data ready for training immediately after collection. For fine dual-arm manipulation tasks, a handheld accessory, the D1-Gripper, works with the headset to capture end-effector details like grasping and assembly.

Leveraging its complete underlying technology stack, Delta Intelligence has established long-term partnerships with leading humanoid manufacturers including Zhiyuan, Leju, Galaxea AI, and Unitree. This enables rapid model migration across different hardware platforms, with deployments already entering real-world operations.
