Gasgoo Munich- Lumos Robotics has closed A1 and A2 funding rounds totaling hundreds of millions of yuan.
Mitsubishi Electric Smart Manufacturing Technology (China) Group Co., Ltd. led the A1 and A2 round. Proceeds will fuel continued investment in the company's embodied large-model R&D and scenario expansion.
Even before these rounds, Lumos Robotics counted four listed companies among its shareholders and had forged a strategic partnership with shipping giant COSCO SHIPPING. Mitsubishi Electric's substantial backing now further cements the industrial foundation needed for Luming to deploy its solutions across pan-industrial scenarios.
Notably, the partnership dates back to June 2025, when the two companies co-developed an embodied intelligence solution for flexible quality inspection. That system is already undergoing trials at Mitsubishi Electric's Chinese factories.

To commercialize embodied intelligence, Luming is prioritizing structured industrial settings. This approach generates large-scale real-world data feedback, spinning the data flywheel needed to reach general intelligence.
Leveraging "body-less data collection" technology, Luming has built an efficient "data-model" flywheel that enables robots to rapidly master industrial-grade skills. Specifically for these environments, the company developed the Lumos Nexcore physical AI engine. It combines world models with Vision-Language-Action (VLA) joint training, integrates industrial visual attention optimization, and utilizes a late-fusion architecture alongside Mixture-of-Experts (MOE) networks to drive efficient industrial deployment.
Robots powered by the Lumos Nexcore engine are already in use, feeding continuous data back into the system. Beyond Mitsubishi Electric, Luming is deepening cooperation with industrial players including COSCO SHIPPING, Dema Technology, and Guangyun Group.
Beyond the wheeled-arm robots common in industry today, Luming has developed the tech stack for its LUS series of bipedal humanoid robots, along with core components like joint and tactile modules.
