The Series B round drew investment from the China Internet Investment Fund, Agricultural Bank of China AIC, the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund, Beijing Guoguan Shunxi Fund, Huaxia Hengtian, and Guangyuan Capital. Glory Ventures, which led the Pre-A round, continued to back the company.
Following the raise, SpacemiT plans to deepen its focus on the "RISC-V+AI+Triton/Tilelang" intelligent computing ecosystem. The company aims to accelerate the deployment of open, accessible high-performance computing power. With a cadence of annual chip iterations and full-stack in-house development, SpacemiT is targeting the "AI+" and robotics growth markets, using high-performance RISC-V AI chips to drive the intelligent upgrade of traditional industries.
Founded in 2021, SpacemiT specializes in developing high-performance CPUs based on the next-generation RISC-V architecture, offering software-hardware integrated computing solutions. RISC-V is an open, free, and modular reduced instruction set architecture; chips built on it can be developed and customized without licensing fees.
As AI and robotics reshape the global computing landscape, RISC-V is emerging as a key choice for building the next generation of computing ecosystems, thanks to its open, customizable, and modular architecture.
SpacemiT's products have already hit the market. Shipments of its first-generation RISC-V AI CPU chip, the K1, have reached 150,000 units, with applications spanning industrial systems, robotics, and edge computing.
Beyond expanding its existing lineup, SpacemiT is moving forward with its next-generation product roadmap. The company is set to release its K3, a second-generation terminal RISC-V AI chip designed to support large language models with 30 billion parameters.
