Seeds | RoboParty raises nearly 500 million yuan, CATL exclusively leads Pre-A round

Edited by Taylor From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-Embodied intelligence startup RoboParty has recently closed back-to-back Angel++ and Pre-A financing rounds, raising nearly 500 million yuan in total. Existing investors—including Shunwei Capital, Matrix Partners China, Xiaomi Strategic Investment, and SenseTime Guoxiang—added to their stakes in the Angel++ round, while CATL led the Pre-A round as the sole investor. LightStream Capital acted as both incubator and exclusive financial advisor.

CATL's exclusive entry is the most telling signal of this financing round. Following Xiaomi Strategic Investment's early move, the battery giant's direct involvement signals that the humanoid robot sector is accelerating from "technology showcase" to "industrial validation." RoboParty's open-source hardware and motion control base are poised to receive real-world task feedback within CATL's manufacturing and energy scenarios, creating a closed data loop.

The capital will primarily flow into three areas: ramping up mass production of the next-generation open-source humanoid platform RP1, refining the Party OS embodied intelligence system layer, and developing the Humanoid Foundation Model (HFM). The company plans to officially launch RP1 in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a focus on enhancing overall reliability, motion capabilities, and consistency in mass production. Its previously released entry-level open-source bipedal robot, the RPO, has already achieved a running speed of 3 m/s, establishing itself as one of the world's top-performing open-source humanoid platforms.

On the software front, RoboParty's recently open-sourced Party OS toolchain—which includes MimicLite, UFO, and action retargeting tools—aims to lower barriers to data collection, simulation training, and real-world deployment in humanoid robot development. The company is committed to deepening its "Ontology + Cerebellum + Whole-Body VLA" technology loop and building the world's first full-stack open-source HFM platform.

Following this round, RoboParty did not disclose its valuation. However, the cumulative haul of nearly 500 million yuan across two consecutive rounds has already propelled the startup into the top tier of China's humanoid robot sector.
