Gasgoo Munich- On June 15, Shihang Intelligent, a marine embodied intelligence firm, has closed a Series A round exceeding 1 billion yuan — marking the largest single fundraising round in the global marine robotics sector to date.
New investors in the round include Shanghe Momentum, Vertex Growth (a Temasek subsidiary), and listed firm Dayang Electric. Existing backers, including GSR Ventures, also participated with significant oversubscriptions.

Shihang Intelligent said the proceeds will primarily fund core technology R&D, global market expansion, and ecosystem development. The goal is to drive large-scale deployment and enhance reliability for marine robots operating in complex underwater environments.
The ocean remains one of the most challenging environments for robotics. Extreme conditions—such as low light, high turbidity, complex currents, limited communication, and high-pressure corrosion—place immense demands on reliability, autonomy, and operational capability.
To tackle these hurdles, Shihang Intelligent has developed a full-stack portfolio covering six core systems: power, control, sensing, navigation, sealing, and deployment. Each system boasts proprietary intellectual property and continuous iteration capabilities, forming a comprehensive technical framework for commercial marine robotics deployment.
Currently, models like the "Orca" feature full-depth operational capabilities from 0 to 10,000 meters with full degrees of freedom. Supporting complex functions such as autonomous navigation and multi-robot coordination, these systems have achieved stable commercial deployment across all ocean depths in real-world environments.
To date, Shihang Intelligent's robots have been deployed at scale across scenarios including ship hull cleaning, underwater security, offshore wind power, marine ranching, and seabed inspection.
